California-based venture capital firm Market Winning Strategies commits to raising $2 million for Messaging Service Provider

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS (May 11, 2001)-- Global Messaging Solutions, Inc. (GMSI) today announced that California-based Marketing Winning Strategies (MWS) has made a commitment to raise $2 million for GMSI by the end of 2001 for a third round of funding. MWS is a venture capital firm that specializes in raising funds for technology and Internet-related companies.

With this latest commitment, MWS is continuing its long relationship with GMSI. Over the past two years, $1 million has been raised in each of two rounds by MWS. The money is raised from a vast Angel investor network throughout the United States that MWS coordinates. Angel investors typically are high net worth individuals that invest in emerging companies..GMSI plans to use the capital to strengthen the company’s sales & marketing effort, expand its offerings into new markets and, generally, to fulfill its business plan. With the help of this new funding, GMSI is on target to achieve profitability by the fourth quarter of this year.
