GMSI signed an agreement today to provide back-end eMail
services to Unified Messaging platform of Minneapolis-based BridgeCom

today announced that a partnership agreement has been signed
with BridgeCom, a Unified Messaging (UM) provider based outside
Minneapolis, Minnesota. The agreement calls for GMSI to provide
its enterprise-class eMail system and messaging expertise to BridgeCom for use in their UM platform. BridgeCom was
searching for a carrier-grade eMail provider interested in
providing the messaging infrastructure and outsource this
critical component to a messaging firm like GMSI.
UM is a
relatively new technology that will further expand the ease and
efficiency of business communications. It combines eMail,
faxing and voiceMail onto one interface to allow users to
receive, respond, forward and further control their
communications by those three media. Similar to the look of
eMail software on any desktop computer today, users will see
all of their voiceMail, eMail and faxes on the screen, and will
be armed with the latest technology to handle them as they
wish. UM also allows users to access those three media by any WAP-enabled device, like a mobile phone or PDA, have their
eMail read to them by the system and be able to respond as users
would at their desktop.
BridgeCom has developed the advanced technology to bring all
voiceMail, eMail and fax onto one user interface and the
important text to speech function of the system. GMSI
will provide the eMail foundation for the UM platform.
